
A series of abstract paintings done on commission for Katuba Guest House (Ndola, Zambia). The request was for simple yet bright abstracts done in oils and spray paint, using recycled laminated chipboard. A large piece of chipboard was cut down to several pieces in sizes of 60 x 60cm, 70 x 60cm and 100 x 60cm. The largest painting is 300 x 160cm – covering an existing oil painting (“Eagle”) that I did in 1999 – I called it “Time for change”. The paintings will be displayed in select bedrooms of the guest house as well as in the main lounge and dining areas.
