Brandenburg Gate, Berlin sketch – ink on paper

The Brandenburg Gate is one of the most famous monuments in Berlin and has now come to signify German unity.

I visited Berlin for the first time in November 2014 on a late birthday trip with a friend. I remember feeling at home there. There always seemed to be a little surprise around every corner: a retro basement cafe, a vintage shop, a shop selling upcycled creations. And then there is the street art! So much beauty.

This sketch of the Brandenburg Gate is a little memory of Berlin for me – such an amazing place.

Berlin, one day I shall see you again.

You can read about Berlin on my travel blog: Gregarious Gecko (Berlin’s street art: my reason for blogging)
